Germany looks for doctors from other countries, mostly Latin America, to help with jobs in hospitals and clinics. The program gives help with places to live, visas, and advice, but the rules to become a certified doctor are difficult. Doctors must learn the German language and pass exams while working under experienced doctors. Dr. Freddy Bautista Vanegas from Bolivia is part of this program and feels welcome in Germany. Patients are happy to meet him and talk about his home country. The program also helps countries like Mexico and Colombia, where there are more medical students than training places. Germany needs more doctors because many positions in healthcare remain empty. Each German state has different rules, so guidance is important to manage the process. Doctors must get their official qualification within two years. Despite challenges, doctors receive support for housing, language learning, and passing tests. Bautista Vanagas continues preparing for his last medical language exam.
